Friday 07/19/19 – Kevin Miller Show

Kevin Miller begins the program from Independence Indoor Shooting in Meridian, Idaho.  Kevin is there to kick off the beginning of the 2019 edition of Girls with Guns.  Kevin Miller examines what is happening to glaciers and what, if any, impact their melting could have on the environment.    He discloses that glaciers are melting 100 times faster than scientists previously thought. A new study published Thursday in Science reveals a new system of analyzing glaciers has found most of the melting occurs under water, where glaciers often extend hundreds of feet.   Kevin Miller shares this fact that the result is scientists have learned that "glaciers are a lot more sensitive to ocean change than we’ve even thought," says glaciologist Ellyn Enderlin.   Kevin Miller asks the KIDO Talk Radio crowd What can we do to slow the melting process? How will the world be different in 100 years?  Kevin Miller looks at some big news out of Washington DC.     Army General Mark Milley will be the new chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff as of October 1st. Milley was easily confirmed by the Senate yesterday 89-to-1 and has been the Army chief of staff. Milley will succeed outgoing Joint Chiefs Chairman Joseph Dunford to become the top military adviser to the President.  Kevin Miller asks the following questions to the KIDO Talk Radio audience.  How do you view Milley's relationship with the White House?  In what ways will he be different than Dunford?
