It's that time of year again.  The NBA Playoffs are in full swing.  Treasure Valley students and teachers are counting down the days till their Summer vacation.  Some will go to exotic places.  Other will visit relatives while enjoying a relaxing Idaho Summer. What would happen if you didn't have a home?  Or not enough money to eat two meals a day, never mind three?  There is no Summer vacation for the working poor or the homeless.  Summer is just another day of uncertainty for people that are in need.  Thankfully for over sixty years the Boise Rescue Mission has fed, clothed, educated, and provided shelter to families, individuals, veterans, and others who need a hand up.

The Mission helps the needy without government funds.  Their entire funding comes from generous folks like you in the Treasure Valley.  This week, May 20th-25th, Kevin Miller will be living at the Nampa Wal Mart on Garrity and Franklin.  He's collecting pennies, coins, cash, and other items that will help the Boise Rescue Mission fund programs through the Summer.

Summer is a time when most folks are looking at getting out of town, so giving is not top of mind.  Please consider sharing this post, donating this week at Wal Mart with Kevin, or making a online donation here.

Help take care of Treasure Valley Families,  Thank you and God Bless!
