The Impeachment Moneyball Game

As Congressional Democrats continue to bloviate that they must hold President Donald Trump for allegations of a quid pro quo with the Ukrainian Government, there's a secret financial game that is being played behind the scenes that will have a profound impact on the 2020 Election. Whether you are a Republican or a Democrat, everyone needs big money.  Big money pays for consultants, direct mail, social media, radio ads, television ads, etc.  So far one political party has had record levels of fundraising since the impeachment inquiry was begun by Democratic Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi.

Who is impeachment good for? Has all this impeachment talk got your head spinning? While you're wondering which way to look politicians are using it to rake in some serious cash. The Trump campaign and the RNC pulled in $13 million in less than two days following the announcement of an official impeachment probe. If the House does indeed impeach the President it would fall on the Senate to prosecute him, maybe.

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell suggests in a new campaign ad that he would stop impeachment dead in its tracks but, of course, he needs your money to help win reelection.  Democrats have also benefited from third-quarter windfalls. Sens. Warren and Sanders each hauled in around $25 million. What's your water cooler talk? Is it impeachment? Do you even care at this point?
